Electrostatic discharge

Electronic components within the communication module can be damaged or

destroyed by electrostatic discharge.

Possible consequences:

• The communication module is damaged.

• Fieldbus communication is not possible or is faulty.

Protective measures:

• Ensure that you are free of electrostatic charge before you touch the module.
