The spring-loaded pulley on sizes 13 - 40 can be removed from the shaft by applying a puller

behind the flange.

First, unscrew the fixing bolt (1) and remove the ring (4) (Fig. 8).

Whenthe variablepulleyshave beendismantled, take care thatthey a re reassembled in the

correct order,otherwise trouble will becaused byimbalance. Themarks on the pulley plates

and the hub (Fig. 9) must match up. It is not possible to replace individual parts of the

pulleys, because they have sliding fits matched to one another, and the pulleys are

dynamically balanced as a complete unit.
